Backstory

The Past that is shared

Khunbish and her Mothers lived in a small village closed off from the rest of the world. When she was still very young; her mother had become pregnant, the family of three were ecstatic for the arrival of their new addition. Unfortunately, their joy was short lived as the wife gave birth to a stillborn son.She soon fell ill, her depression severe even after years passed; unable to recover from the loss. Despite her wife and daughters best efforts, she died to a broken heart. Her wife was soon to follow after, unable to bear the loss, leaving Khunbish as the lone survivor. She too began to fall into a depression, though she wanted to survive, she lacked the motivation to eat and began to weaken with the passing days.Near death, she ran into Yargui, another orphan on the streets, he nursed her back to health, and from then on the two took care of each other. They travelled the world together, looking for a place where they could belong. Though the journey was fulfilling, a place of home continued to stay vacant in their hearts. Eventually, they took to the seas, riding the waters to places beyond. But it was in the waters where they found their home. The in-between, a world away from everything but themselves.Although their crew is simply each other, Khunbish's wife (whom they met along their adventures), and hundreds of cats. They now travel the seas, looking for nothing but to enjoy life and the company of family. This backstory is a lie, however.

The Past that is Untold

Trigger warning: Mentions of SA/Non-con/Unaliving

While Khunbish's (birth name redacted, as she has abandoned it) story of her family still holds true, it is only to the point where she met Yargui does the tale begin to fabricate.A village hidden from the rest of the world, it researched the creation of a Hybrid species through science and magics. While it was more a facility than a place of home, its inhabitants could not find it to be anything other than such. There was a strict leadership with rules that would come with consequence if not followed. Their goal was to evolve humanity, experimenting different races and species to create new ones. When they created the first successful male through the Au Ra and Ananta gene, they conserved and raised him until they were able to confirm he was fertile. Since men do not exist within the Ananta species, it was previously impossible to create such a hybrid through natural means. Because of his rarity, he was trained to perfection and showcased as if his existence were that of a god. Kept in isolation in the "Palace", he was not allowed to exist outside of his breeding purposes. They did not want any of the others growing a personal attachment to him, so they forbade to assign him a name, and he was referred to only as the "Mate".Khunbish lived in the village with all the other Ana Ra (a title they had given their kind). It was only during celebrations and ceremonies had she ever gotten a glimpse of the Albino mate, and she herself could not see him as anything else but holy, the future to their people.Worshipped and dressed only in the finest linens and silks, he was closely watched to maintain optimal health. For breeding, the screening process was strict and only women of high ranking, health, and strength were allowed to lay with him. No conversations or words were to be had.He was trained in martial arts and weaponry in order to keep his body and health in peak condition. Forced under a strict diet and taught various academic skills. His loneliness held him in misery, longing for a connection with others outside of his isolation. But such luxuries were forbidden between mortal and god, and if the villagers were to treat him as one of them, they would be accused of heresy for disrespecting their blessing.
He began to lash out and fight back, refusing breeding to the point he would attack anyone who entered his chambers. This only escalated his situation, as they ordered to have him tied and bound.
Khunbish, during her youth, had found ways to infiltrate The Palace in which he was kept. She could not help but see him as both god and spirit of the younger brother she had lost. He did not speak, and having a conversation with someone was hard when they did not answer. Most days she would spend simply existing in the same space as him until the guards came around- and that was when she would take her leave. She was stealthy, and far too bright to be caught, she continued to visit him for years to come. It was not until their 5th year together that he finally spoke with her, though his words were little and few between; as if he feared something bad were happen if he spoke. But what came out of his mouth was not what she had been expecting. She had thought his words would carry enlightenment, a blessing of the tongue from a holy entity. Instead, he had wished to die.Khunbish failed to understand his plea, he was loved and respected by all, by their people, the elders, his caretakers, by her. He had everything, a luxurious life in a palace made of the rarest stone. It was him alone that carried the future of all of them, to bless them with children and a future. So she did all she knew how, convinced him he was not in his right mind, reminded him of his importance to everyone and to his duties. After he had said those words to her, it was like the veil had been lifted over her - she began to see a different world. The vacancy of his mind, the emptiness in his eyes, the hollow of his figure. His misery progressed as years passed, he had never provided any follow up words after his first conversation with her, and she wondered if his misery was her own fault, if she had brought this curse upon him.She began to visit him less, hoping to mend the wound she had created, but his condition only appeared to worsen. She felt helpless, unable to know what was expected of her in order to set things right, she could ask the elders, but what if that made the problem worse? What if they punished her for sneaking into his quarters, punished him?Yet the night she had found him when he had tried to end his life, there was an overwhelming spread of realization and emotion. She hadn't done this to him, their people had done this... their village, everything that they had been taught, even everything she had done to him. Shaming him to lead him back to his duties, rather than listening to him when he had finally spoke. It was no wonder he had chosen to never speak again- because she had not listened. What would her mothers have said, if they knew she had let this man fall so far from grace? So she saved him, at the expense of revealing herself, she called the guards for a doctor. And for that, she had thought she had finally done the right thing.Khunbish did not visit him again after that, when she finally saw him again months later during the Heavensturn festival, she was devastated to see that he had not changed. He was not happier, yet he did not look miserable either. He looked as if he did not have a single emotion left to spare. Was he beyond hope, was the help she gave all for naught? Something told her her she needed to do more, find a way to free him from his misery, perhaps it was the spirits of her mothers, begging her to have the strength to provide mercy, or maybe it was her own heart pulling for something she wanted. She would come to finally visit him again that night, asking him what it was he wanted.Again, he asked to die, and if he could not do it himself, then he prayed she had the mercy to do it for him. She refused, she could not risk the curse that would bring upon her or their village if she carried out such a heinous act. She stood by her word for some time, regardless that his requests became more urgent with each visit, her call for the guards becoming more frequent. She did not know how to stop him, nor how she could mentally bear to continue this night after night, eventually he would bleed before there was a chance for anyone to save him. If she could not kill him, then maybe she could take him away.Kidnapping the god of her village wasn't exactly a great idea either... but it seemed far more favourable than killing one. She had to be careful, she and the others were free to travel to and from the village, but that did not mean she could simply walk out the door with him. She began devising an escape plan, scouting out the blind-spots within their walls, arranging travel with another village nearby that they would swiftly be able to run through, Making clothing for him to hide his scales and face to deter attention, he was easy to spot in a crowd, and because of that she had to ensure everything about him remained hidden. But her plans fell short- or more, they become more dire when she decided to visit him one night to tell him of her intentions, only to find his guards laying lifeless as his feet, his swords still in his hands dripping with their blood. He went after her next, but she quickly fought him off, insisting that she would help him flee, he resisted at first, but he also had no means of navigating through the village on his own. So they fled together that night as Khunbish lead him to their neighbouring village to take to the seas via ship.Khunbish created their new identities, including a false tale they would tell others if questioned about their past, it was at this time she gave him the name, Yargui. As they are still at risk of being hunted down by their village, Yargui is often known to wear concealing garments that help mask his identity to those who may recognize him.

General RP

Styles

HorrorDarkAngstLong-TermParaDiscord

Horror/Dark I am an absolute fan of dark/horror elements in my RP. I prefer complicated morally grey characters to create intense and psychological stories.Angst, I love a lot of drama and sacrifice. Instances that permanently grow or change a character. The more hardships experienced, the closer the bond.Long-term. Even though this is my favourite kind of RP, I'm very selective on who I actually involve myself in for the long-ride. Many of the RP I take on will be shorter stories or one shots.Paragraph, I prefer story structured, paragraph based RP's. I love writing detail. I am however, not picky! You don't need to be some sort of professional and I don't care about perfect structure. I lack that myself in writing to be honest, I make a lot of typos or accidentally repeat myself! I try not to take writing too seriously, as I prefer to have fun with everything.Discord I prefer discord to in-game RP. Mostly because I have a very busy life outside of game and it's more realistic for me to manage my time if I am able to pace it accordingly.

Rules

You must be 21 years or older to RP with me, please respect this as I am not comfortable writing or interacting with ages any less.Yargui is Panromantic Demisexual and he does not indulge himself in romance or sex very often, as it does not interest him.I love detailed and have a fleshed-out backstories for long-term RP's. I am open to casual/short-term RP while out at venues or for people looking for less of a commitment.I prefer third-person, it's just a style that flows much more naturally to my writing style. Please feel free to send me a tell, I usually don't turn my RP tag on, but that doesn't mean I'm not RPing.Approach OOC first to discuss if you'd like to RP with me! It's just more comfortable that way for me.Do not mix IC and OOC I am not my character, what I feel and what Yargui feels are different things, he is not an extension of me nor is he a self insert.

General Hooks

Tales of Adventure Yargui loves exploring. Though he has massive trust issues, he's simultaneously a very naive and curious person.Hired Hand Khunbish and Shavica love offering their brother to gain some extra gil- they'll give you some amazing prices you just can't say no to. Just remember that you get what you pay for.Offer a Cat, nuff said.

OOC

PTHe/HimPanromanticLate 30's

21+ to interact with me in any way. Please don't treat my carrd like a dating profile, do not send me your IRL pics.

Hi there! Thanks for stumbling upon my carrd page and taking the time to look through it! Outside of RP I enjoy running content in game and making new friends. I main healer(SGE) but I'm fairly successful at DPS... maybe, it's all self proclaimed. I am an incredibly clumsy tank but I'm okay with that.Other than that I don't know what else I want to put here because I prefer not to get too personal.

I keep my RP and OOC separate and I expect the same from you. Not cis.
